We are a family of five with a love for golden retrievers. Our journey with this breed began several years ago when we purchased our very first retriever, Harley. Since then, we have added several more retrievers to our family.  

Josh works as a journeyman electrical lineman while Brandy manages The Retreat and all of the fur babies! Together we have three children who share our love for golden retrievers (& dogs in general)!

In 2021, we opened The Retreat and also launched our brand of specialty dog treats.  We saw a growing need in our area for a facility, along with services, to make life with dogs easier.  We wanted to offer a service that provided dogs and their owners with a vacation-like feel and allowed the dogs to have ample room and entertainment. More than ever, we all view dogs as a part of our family, and we want each dog that stays or visits with us to feel like they are part of ours also!
